Gaza, Oct 15: Hamas has reportedly carried out public executions in Gaza in an attempt to reassert control over the enclave following the withdrawal of Israeli forces and a US-brokered ceasefire. Videos circulating online show eight blindfolded men being shot dead by Hamas gunmen, accused of being “collaborators and outlaws.”
The footage, which has gone viral on social media, depicts the men kneeling in the street before being executed, as onlookers chant “Allahu Akbar.” Hamas later claimed, without providing evidence, that the victims were working with Israel.

The executions come as Hamas faces internal unrest and clashes with armed Palestinian clans seeking influence in areas vacated by Israeli troops. Armed police loyal to the Hamas government have returned to the streets, attempting to re-establish authority after months of lawlessness.
US President Donald Trump reacted to the developments, reiterating his call for Hamas to surrender its weapons. “They will disarm, and if they don’t, we will disarm them — quickly and perhaps violently,” he said.
Trump’s ceasefire plan demands that Hamas hand over control of Gaza to an internationally supervised body, a condition that remains unresolved. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also maintained that the war will not end until Hamas is completely dismantled.
