Karnataka's Nandini milk set to go global; soon available in Australia, France, UK and more

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Aug 25: In a major leap for Karnataka’s dairy industry, the state’s flagship brand Nandini milk is gearing up to go global. Known for its purity and quality, Nandini is already a household name across Karnataka and much of India. Now, the brand is set to make its international debut, with exports soon to begin to Australia, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Saudi Arabia.

Operated by the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), Nandini produces over 11.5 million litres of milk daily. While a majority of this caters to domestic demand, a strategic surplus is now being channelled towards national expansion and overseas markets. “Nandini’s natural flavour and consistent quality have created a loyal consumer base. Now, we’re taking Karnataka’s pride to the world stage,” said a senior KMF official.

Rapid national expansion

Beyond Karnataka, Nandini milk is already available in Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Goa. The Federation has now finalised plans to extend its reach to Jharkhand, Punjab, Odisha, Manipur, Meghalaya, and Sikkim in the coming months.

Surging demand fuels growth

The rising popularity of Nandini beyond state borders is driven by its freshness, purity, and reliable supply chain. As demand grows, the Karnataka government and dairy cooperatives are ramping up logistics and production infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted delivery. “We’re seeing a surge in demand from neighbouring states and even from Indian communities abroad,” the official added.

Production and supply chain strength

Karnataka’s milk production currently stands at around 1.15 crore litres per day, one of the highest in the country. The well-established internal supply network allows Nandini to meet domestic needs while gradually diverting surplus volumes to external markets.

Ready to take on global dairy giants

Armed with high-volume production, stringent quality control, and a transparent procurement system, Nandini is now preparing to compete with global dairy brands in international markets.

Officials confirm that necessary steps are being taken to meet international standards and logistics requirements for exports, ensuring that Nandini maintains its brand promise even overseas.

'Our Milk, our pride' goes global

Regarded as a symbol of Karnataka’s self-reliance and cooperative strength, Nandini is set to transform from a regional success story into an international dairy contender.

True to its slogan “Nandini – Namma Haalu, Namma Hemme” ('Our milk, our pride'), the brand is not just crossing state borders—it’s preparing to take Karnataka’s reputation for quality dairy to the global stage.
