Udupi, Jul 11: Marking a milestone for Skoda enthusiasts in the region, TAFE Access Skoda Showroom and Services, the authorised Skoda dealership in Udupi, handed over the keys of the first Skoda Kodiaq to its owner on Thursday, July 11. The delivery ceremony was held at the showroom located on the ground floor of Ramaraj Tower, Ambagilu.
The keys were handed over by Abhishek Shetty, assistant manager – sales, TAFE Access Limited, in the presence of showroom staff and the owner’s family. The joyous occasion was celebrated with a cake-cutting ceremony, marking the debut of the premium SUV in the Udupi market.
The all-new Skoda Kodiaq is known for its blend of advanced technology, powerful performance, and premium comfort. It features a turbocharged petrol engine and measures 4,758 mm in length, 1,864 mm in width, and 1,679 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,791 mm and a ground clearance of 155 mm. With seating for seven, the SUV caters well to large families seeking a balance of luxury and practicality.
Available in seven attractive colours — Bronx Gold Metallic, Velvet Red Metallic, Graphite Grey Metallic, Moon White Metallic, Steel Grey, Race Blue Metallic, and Magic Black Metallic — the Kodiaq is distinguished by its elegant design and refined finish.
In terms of safety, the SUV is equipped with nine airbags, including two front, one centre, two front side, two rear side, and two curtain airbags. It also features an electronic stabilisation system, anti-lock braking system (ABS), dual-tone horn, hill start assist, and hill descent control, ensuring high levels of security and control for drivers.
The Skoda Kodiaq enhances the driving experience with features like a 32.77 cm touchscreen infotainment system, alloy wheels, LED headlights, heated exterior mirrors, and ambient interior mood lighting. It also includes a 26.03 cm virtual cockpit with multiple layout options, a rear-view camera, and a 360-degree area view camera to assist with parking and manoeuvring.
A notable highlight is the intelligent park assist, which enables the car to automatically find and navigate into parking spaces without the driver having to handle the steering or pedals. Other premium features include wireless charging (15W) for two phones with ventilation, a panoramic sunroof, hands-free open-on-approach, and walk-away locking.
