Four riding on single scooter: Traffic police impose fine in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jul 10: In a clear violation of traffic rules, four youths were found travelling on a single scooter in Mangaluru city.

Acting promptly, the sub-inspector of the Mangaluru city traffic east police station intercepted the vehicle on July 8.

The youths were questioned and educated about the risks and consequences of such violations. A fine of Rs 2,500 was imposed for breaching traffic norms.

The police have urged the public to adhere to traffic rules to ensure road safety for all.

    Such activities were there even in the past. Some Crazy guys used to bend the scooters while taking turn in such way that the footrest used to touch the tar road giving out sparks due to friction. Three guys in a bike or scooter used to be a common sight. Some unlucky ones met with accidents that it took their life so sad.

    Very good action on those who break traffic rules. If caught 2nd time on similar violation, make the penalty two times and further such incident, fine plus with draw the licence.👍

    This is really a news....otherwise traffic people are blind and they dont see such violations which is common and mostly by keralites.
