The programme commenced in the school auditorium with a solemn prayer service, seeking strength for those battling addiction and invoking collective responsibility to build a drug-free society. A concise address on the significance of the day followed, highlighting the destructive impact of drug abuse on health, mental well-being, and human relationships. A thought-provoking skit conveyed the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of timely awareness, support, and informed decision-making.

Building on this message, a powerful mime depicted the silent descent into addiction, capturing the isolation and helplessness it brings, and leaving a lasting impression on the audience. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating all who made the observance meaningful and impactful.
As a significant extension of the awareness efforts, a street play titled was performed by students in a public space, drawing a large and engaged audience. The play centred on the core belief that drug abuse not only deteriorates personal health but also disrupts the moral and legal order of society. Through strong visuals and realistic scenes, the play demonstrated the long-term consequences of drug use ranging from deteriorating health and academic failure to fractured families and loss of dignity. It delivered a clear message: only by rejecting drugs outright can society hope to succeed in eradicating their influence. The performance urged citizens to view drug abuse not as a personal lapse but as a public concern that demands unified action, law enforcement, and community support.
The observance at St Agnes School was a powerful reminder that education is the first line of defense against substance abuse. Guided by Principal Sr Maria Sarika, the programme blended creativity, reflection, and outreach to inspire students as advocates of awareness and a drug-free tomorrow. In her concluding address, Sr Maria Sarika reinforced the message of the day, urging students to stay informed, support one another, and uphold the values of responsibility and well-being in every sphere of life. The day stood as a meaningful and impactful initiative, resonating strongly with all who participated.
