Washington, Jun 24: The United States has released dramatic footage of B-2 Spirit stealth bombers taking off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri to strike Iranian nuclear facilities as part of Operation Midnight Hammer. The mission, launched at 12:01 am on June 21, targeted key Iranian sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Eshafan.
Seven B-2s, each carrying two crew members, flew nonstop for 37 hours in what became the second-longest B-2 mission since the 2001 Afghanistan campaign. The aircraft dropped 14 GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators (MOP), 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs capable of penetrating up to 200 feet underground.

The video released by the Pentagon shows the stealth bombers taxiing out from their hangars at Whiteman Air Base and later landing after the historic round trip. The bombers linked mid-air with refuellers before proceeding toward the CENTCOM region and entering Iranian airspace with support from advanced fighter jets that deployed decoys and swept the skies for threats.
Prior to the aerial strike, a US submarine launched over two dozen Tomahawk cruise missiles to neutralize Iranian surface infrastructure. The coordinated attack between 6:40 pm and 7:05 pm Eastern Time struck all designated nuclear targets, using precision munitions and strategic deception tactics.
The unprecedented mission marked a high point in stealth warfare and showcased America’s long-range strike capabilities, amid heightened tensions with Tehran over its nuclear ambitions.
