Bengaluru, Aug 16: A woman police sub-inspector (PSI) on traffic duty was allegedly assaulted and subjected to body-shaming by a group of men in Bengaluru, following which an FIR has been registered against four persons.
The incident occurred near Bhattarahalli Junction under the jurisdiction of the K R Puram Traffic police station.

According to reports, the accused — Harshith Reddy, Hemanth Reddy, Rahul and Radhakrishna Reddy — were allegedly engaged in an argument with traffic constable Manjunath while he was regulating traffic.
On noticing the altercation, traffic PSI Nayana reached the spot to intervene and control the situation. However, the accused allegedly assaulted her and passed derogatory body-shaming remarks, including comments about her appearance and weight.
The incident was reportedly captured on the body-worn camera of a police personnel who was on duty at the time.
Based on the video footage and other evidence, the K R Puram police have registered an FIR against the four accused and initiated an investigation into the incident.
The incident has raised concerns over the safety and dignity of police personnel while carrying out their duties on the roads.
