Kudla Pelakai Parba 2025 begins with flavour and festivity in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jun 21: The parish priest of St Sebastian Bendoorwell Church, Fr Walter D'Souza, inaugurated the two-day-long ‘Kudla Pelakai Parba 2025’, a vibrant and flavour-packed jackfruit festival, organised by Honeygenics Bee Farms on June 21 at the St Sebastian Platinum Jubilee Auditorium, Bendoorwell, near St Agnes College, Mangaluru.

The event will run for two days from 8 am to 10 pm.

This two-day festival is a tribute to the beloved jackfruit, locally known as Pelakai, and promises an eco-conscious, family-friendly atmosphere brimming with tradition and taste. Highlights include live jackfruit cooking demonstrations by expert chefs, a wide variety of jackfruit-based delicacies such as sweets, curries, chips, and more, along with a showcase of jackfruit-inspired arts and crafts.

A dedicated farmers’ market will offer fresh produce and jackfruit saplings for sale. The event will also feature contests, cultural performances, and a special kids’ zone with games and fun activities tailored for children.

With free entry for all, Kudla Pelakai Parba 2025 warmly invites the community to celebrate this iconic fruit in a weekend of flavour, culture, and togetherness. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the richness of coastal heritage and culinary creativity in a setting designed for all ages.
