Over 1.24 lac grievances resolved by central ministries in May

New Delhi, Jun 14: Central ministries and departments redressed a total of 1,24,101 public grievances in May 2025, maintaining a consistent record of over one lakh monthly disposals for the 35th straight month, the government announced.

According to the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), the average grievance disposal time stood at 16 days during the month. The figures were shared in the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) monthly report for May.

The report noted that 60,499 new users registered on the CPGRAMS portal in May, with Uttar Pradesh accounting for the highest number of registrations at 10,043. Additionally, 65,601 feedbacks were collected, including 38,968 related to central ministries and departments.

Highlighting the role of technology and accessibility, the report stated that 5,653 grievances were filed through Common Service Centres (CSCs), which are connected to over 5 lakh centres operated by 2.5 lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs).

To ensure efficient redressal, the newly launched Review Meeting Module enabled 28 secretary-level review meetings across ministries and departments in May.

Top performers in grievance redressal for the month included the Department of Telecommunications, Department of Posts, and Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs under Group A (more than 500 grievances).
