Mangaluru, Sep 6: Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh – Rosario unit celebrated Teachers’ Day on Sunday, September 6, at the Rosario Cultural Hall, honouring the dedicated service and invaluable contribution of teachers.
The programme was organised to express gratitude to teachers for their significant role in shaping young minds, nurturing values and guiding students towards becoming responsible citizens.











Chief guest Fr Valerian D’Souza, parish priest of Rosario Cathedral, inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
William D’Souza, president of the Catholic Sabha Rosario unit, welcomed the gathering. Fr Pradeep Rodrigues, Cyril Rosario, vice president of the Parish Pastoral Council; Ida Furtado, secretary and Aldrin Vaz, coordinator of the 21 Commissions, were the guests of honour.
The celebration brought together teachers of Rosario Cathedral in a spirit of gratitude, fellowship and appreciation. The programme also provided an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the dedication of teachers and their lasting contribution to society.
Tr Mable D’Souza, secretary of the Catholic Sabha Rosario Unit, Rita D'Souza, treasurer, and Philip Pieriera, immediate past president were present.
Tr Elizabeth Roche spoke on behalf of the teachers and expressed gratitude for the gesture of appreciation. Mary D’Souza, convenor proposed the vote of thanks. Wilma D'Souza compered the programme.
