Kalaburgi, May 2: “We are questioning Prime Minister Narenra Modiji on the pen drives with sexual content of JDS Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna because he had asked votes by holding Prajwal’s hands,” said KPCC Chief and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Thursday.

Speaking to media persons in Kalaburgi, Shivakumar strongly defended the ruling Congress party dragging Modi’s name in Prajwal Revanna’s sex scandal pen drives because Modi as well as Home Minister Amit Shah are equally to be blamed for campaigning for JDS.

“Can Modiji and Shah deny that JDS is not an ally of BJP? Isn’t Prajwal Revanna a BJP-JDS alliance candidate in Hassan? Both of them and the BJP are responsible,” he contended.

Shivakumar asked BJP Opposition leader R Ashok on why he is silent on Prajwal Revanna’s sex exploitation of women in Hassan.

“Instead of making absurd claims that BJP will take action and punish Prajwal Revanna in 24 hours fully knowing that he or his party cannot do it,” Shivakumar asked Ashok to go to Hassan along with State BJP Chief B Y Vijayendra, Union minister Shobha Karandlaje and BJP leader C T Ravi and meet the victims and express their support and solidarity to the victims.

Shivakumar asked JDS supremo and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda and his son H D Kumaraswamy to meet the women victims of the sex abuses by their family member Prajwal Revanna.

Answering a question on Prajwal Revanna’s getting elected from Hassan as part of the Congress-JDS alliance in 2019, Shivakumar said: “We did not know about his (Prajwal’s) character five years ago. Still having been responsible for his victory in 2019, we are questioning him. But now, he is the BJP-JDS alliance candidate and Modiji is in power in Delhi. What are you doing?” he asked.

To a question on Kumaraswamy’s reported statement asking who has sent Karthik, the driver of Prajwal Revanna for several years, in Malaysia, Shivakumar said he does not need to do such things.

“If he (Kumaraswamy) has said it, he must be knowing everything. Let him approach Modiji and Amit Shah and give them all details. Are we mad to send anybody, much less a person, who is responsible for bringing to light the sex scandal, abroad? The pen drives are given to BJP leaders. Even the advocate Devaraje Gowda, who contested unsuccessfully against Prajwal Revanna’s father , H D Revanna in Holenarasipura, has claimed that he admires both Deve Gowda and Kumaranna,” he said furnishing details.

Cong will win 5 Kalyana Karnataka seats

The KPCC Chief said he has already toured and campaigned in all the five parliamentary constituencies of Kalyana Karnataka and asserted that the party will bad all 5 seats.

AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge, who is the tallest leader from the Dalit community, was the person who served and worked for strengthening the entire region and the people of Kalaburgi are sorry for defeating him in 2019.

“Khargeji is not contesting due to his responsibilities all over the country. But his son-in-law Dr Radahakrishna Doddamani is contesting on his behalf as a Congress candidate. We are going to snatch the seat as all prominent leaders from the region, who had left Congress and joined BJP, have returned. The homecoming of Baburao Chinchansuru, Malikayya Guttedar, Lakshman Savadi and others have strengthened the party. The people of the region as in other parts are happy at the guarantees. There is no doubt about our victory,” he declared.
