Udupi, Apr 19: A tragic accident occurred on the Ambagilu-Udupi state highway here in Udupi, resulting in the death of a bike rider on Friday April 19. The victim was fatally struck by a tipper lorry, succumbing to his injuries on the spot.
The deceased is identified as Prabhakar Achari from Matpady, Brahmavar.
Reports indicate that the bike rider was entering the state highway from the Manipal and Perampalli main road when the collision with the tipper lorry occurred.
Sadly, the bike rider lost his life in the accident. Furthermore, another individual riding pillion sustained serious injuries and has been rushed to a private hospital in Manipal for medical treatment.
