Manama (Bahrain), Oct 6: A special programme titled ‘Tribute to Bahrain’ will bring together members of the Indian community in a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the country that has provided them opportunities to build their lives, realise their dreams and discover new directions for their future.
Organised by Bahrain Billavas and Sri Narayana Guru Cultural Association as part of the celebrations marking Sri Narayana Guru Jayanti, the programme will be held on October 9 at 6 pm at the Bahrain Kerala Samajam in Segayya.
The programme will be inaugurated by Padma Shri awardee Sri Vishuddhananda Swamiji, whose presence is expected to be one of the major highlights of the event.

For the Indian community, Bahrain has been far more than a destination offering employment and livelihood opportunities. For many, the country has become a second home. Having spent some of the most significant years of their lives on Bahraini soil, members of the Indian diaspora will use the occasion to express their gratitude for the opportunities, security and warmth extended to them by the country.
The evening will feature a vibrant mix of cultural programmes by popular artists from the region, along with music and special entertainment presentations.
B K Hariprasad, president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee and a senior leader of the Billava community, will participate as the chief guest.
Entry to the programme is completely free, and the organisers have appealed to the public to attend in large numbers with their families. Those who arrive on time will also stand a chance to win 'Early Bird' prizes.
The organisers said ‘Tribute to Bahrain’ is more than a cultural programme. It is a heartfelt expression of love, respect and gratitude from the Indian community to the country that has been their karmabhoomi — a land that has shown a path to a better life and given wings to the dreams of thousands of families.
