Puttur, Feb 29: Prasanna Kumar Maartha of Puthila Parivar has confirmed that Arun Kumar Puthila is likely to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
This was disclosed by Prasanna Kumar Maartha himself at a press meet held here on Thursday, February 29.
Recently, State BJP president B Y Vijayendra, former chief minister and senior BJP leader Yediyurappa, district BJP president Sathish Kumpala had held discussed with Arun Kumar Puthila about fielding him as a candidate during the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
Meanwhile, Puthila Parivar had impressed upon BJP leadership to hand over the post of Puttur Mandal president to Arun Kumar while also giving a three-day deadline to declare the candidate.
However so far, there has been no progress in discussions and as per the desire of the representative, Arun Kumar Puthila will contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
