Kundapur, Jun 9: A girl student bravely retaliated against a man who had been harassing her by hitting him with her footwear on Wakwadi road.
The retaliation took place with the assistance of local residents who intervened upon witnessing the man's indecent behavior.
The student was walking from her hostel to college on Beejadi road when the accused, identified as Nazeer from Barkur, approached her from behind and began to harass her in an inappropriate manner. Startled and fearful, the student raised her voice, alerting the local residents to the situation.
Sensing something amiss, the people confronted the man and held him in place, allowing the girl to strike him with her shoe. Subsequently, the police were called to the scene, and the accused was handed over to them.
A case has been registered at the Kundapur police station.
