Mangaluru: Accused who went absconding abroad arrested after five years

Mangaluru, Jun 1: An accused who was absconding for the past five years was arrested by city police.

The arrested is identified as Mohammed Azaruddin (30) from Ulaibettu. He has escaped abroad and was absconding for the last five years. An LOC was issued against him.

Azaruddin was nabbed at Mumbai airport immigration on May 27. He was arrested by Mangaluru police and produced to the court. He has been remanded to judicial custody.

He was wanted in 2 cases under Mangaluru rural police station limits under section 143, 147, 148, 323, 324, 504, 506, 149, 341, and 34.
