Mangaluru: Car street chariot festival held with devotion

Mangaluru, Jan 29: The chariot festival was held with devotion at Sri Venkatramana temple at Car Street in the city on Saturday.

Seer of Sri Kashi Math Srimad Sayamindratheertha Swamiji offered Shata Kalashabhisheka, Pavamanabhisheka and Gangabhisheka to Lord Veera Venkatesha in the morning.

In the evening, Swamiji offered Maha Poonahuti of Yagna and Maha Mangalarathi to Lord Sri Veera Venkatesha idol seated on the chariot.

Later the Brahmarath chariot was pulled through the Car Street. Thousands of devotees from India and overseas took part in the celebration.
