Mumbai, Jan 18: An FIR was lodged against Bollywood actor-director Mahesh Manjekar at Yavat police station. The complainant, Kailash Satpute, a farmer from Tembhurni accused Manjekar of voluntarily causing harm and criminal intimidation.

The complaint stated that Manjekar slapped the farmer during an altercation after their cars were involved in a minor accident. The incident took place near Yavat powerhouse.

However, Manjekar denied the allegations. "I did not slap him. It was foolish on his part to travel at a high speed, ram into my car, then argue with me while I was checking the damage to my vehicle. We were going for a shoot at Chouphula near Bhigwan from Pune when my car slowed down. The car following us rammed into my vehicle following which an argument ensued," Manjekar said.

The complainant alleged that Manjekar's car stopped all of a sudden which caused his vehicle to hit his car. Manjekar then started arguing and slapping him, he complained.
