Mumbai, Nov 22: In shocking incident police have discovered a 47-year-old mentally-ill woman living with the skeletal remains of her 83-year-old mother under a bed. It is not clear how 83-year-old lady died. On the complaint of neighbours, police searched the house and found a skeleton under the cot. Neighbours have told police that strange sounds were heard from the house.

The senior inspector has said “Following complaints from local residents, we sent a police officer to investigate the matter. When the officer rang the doorbell, there was no response, but he heard some sounds emanating from the palatial house. The officer then found the door was ajar and the house was in a mess.”

The deceased has been identified as Evon Fernandes and the woman as her daughter Mariot Fernandes. The deceased lady’s husband had died in the first decade of 2000. The couple has 3 children her other daughter is in Canada and son is in Dubai. Khar police have registered an accidental death report and are awaiting the post-mortem findings.
