Today the government has passed ordinances to several acts including APMC Act, Land Reforms Act which go against the farmers. The government is trying to destroy the economic source of the farmers. These ordinances only favour the investors."

DYFI state president Muneer Katipalla said, "Several organisations have shown full support to the farmers over the anti-farmer bills introduced by the government. Today the entire nation has stood against the government in support of farmers. Farmers are the backbone of our nation, but today they have been neglected. Our government is doing injustice to the farmers.

"It is impossible for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to run the administration by introducing a lethal law which is against the workers and the farmers. This is nation does not belong to Adani and Ambani. The nation belongs to the farmers, workers, youths and working class community," said Muneer Katipalla.

Leader of Raitha Sangha Krishnappa Salian said, "The government has shown that it is against farmers. Farmers have been affected by the lockdown, and now there is an ordinance that is against the farmers and is favouring investors and multi-national companies."

Another farmers' leader Oswald Prakash Fernandes said, "Those who chant Modi's name are terming the farmers 'anti-BJP' for protesting against the government. As farmers, we are not against any party or supporting any party. We are seeking our rights. Farmers are being dragged to the streets by this ordinance. Injustice has been done to the farmers.

The protestors also raised slogans against Prime Miniser Narendra Modi.

Good to see this. The cause may be just. But Sorry to say , with all due respect , the leaders are out dated. Tried and tested . The crowd present was reflecting the appeal they garner. Not impressed.
It was an appropriate platforms to launch some new dynamic young faces in the forefront.

I call upon the district administration to kindly ban all protests on the roads which is a public nuisance. If anybody wants to protest, let them hire some ground and protest as much as they want and say whatever they want. Public convenience takes top priority.
