Mangaluru: Drugs case - Seven days police custody for Kishore Shetty

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Sep 21: Dancer-cum-choreographer Kishore AmanShetty (30) and Aqeel Nausheel (28), who were arrested on Saturday on the charge of drug trafficking and consumption, have been remanded to seven days police custody.

They were produced before the judge at his residence on Sunday after which the police took them into custody. Both were subjected to coronavirus test on Sunday and the result is expected on Monday. Till the result is received, the police personnel will not be able to resume questioning on a full scale. If the result is negative, they can begin their interrogation and if they test positive, treatment will have to be provided as per the government norms.

Kishore Shetty

During the preliminary questioning, Kishore reportedly revealed that in spite of being a drug addict himself, he began drugs business only recently. He performed as dancer and donned minor roles in a few films at Mumbai. He had returned to the city a few months back, and his family lives in a small tiled house at Kulaigudde. Kishore faced acute financial problem after the coronavirus-induced lockdown and therefore indulged in drugs trade, he revealed. Sources said that he got drugs from Mumbai through his friends group stationed at Mumbai.

I am jealous of Kishore Shetty's hair! Will they cut them during his custody term?
It is believed that, for many artists, taking drug will enhance their creativity! For the same reason many producers of music industry in western world, provide drugs to their artist illegally!!!
Later those artists gets so addicted that, they loose their life to drug overdose & intoxication. Artist who died of drug overdose includes Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston, Prince, Michel Jackson intoxication etc

Kishore Shetty might have been taking drugs, like many in the industry, but he may have started selling drugs only recently, as many of the people in entertainment industry are out of jobs and finding difficult to maintain the expenses of family.

According to Kannada paper, this Kishore Shetty is coming from a very poor background, since his father abandoned his mother when Kishore was just 6. His mother brought her 4 children up by working in hospital as cleaner, it is said. Kishore is a school drop out when he was studying in 10th std.

He really has a very good talent and excelled in dancing. But, I feel, with the background what it was and present covid environment, though it is his own making, he seems to have become a victim of circumstances. He has not cheated or committed fraud of billions of rupees like others and hence, I feel, the court should take his act a little humanely and compassionately.

Depressing to observe talented youths, getting hooked on to drugs, Kishore and Aqueel, will certainly squeal under sustained interrogation !!! They acquired these narcotics from Mumbai, which has now become the epicenter of drug cartels, in
league with high profile ruling political netas !!! Wait and watch out for explosive scandalous titbits, arising from the horrendous murders of Sushant and Divya !!!!
