Thackeray slams demands for CBI probe in Sushant case

Mumbai, Aug 1 (IANS): Breaking his silence, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray slammed the demands for a CBI probe by the Opposition and some Bollywood personalities in the Sushant Singh Rajput case.

In a late-night statement, Thackeray said the Opposition can even bring Interpol or followers of Namaste Trump into the inquiry.

"Devendra Fadnavis should understand that it is the same police whom he has worked with in the last five years. It is the same police that has given so many sacrifices during the fight with Corona," said the CM.

"I would like to condemn those who are raising questions about the efficiency of the police. The Mumbai police is not inefficient. If anyone has any proof about the case they can bring it to us and we will interrogate and punish the guilty," said Thackeray.

However, he appealed to all not to use this case as an excuse to create frictions between the two states of Maharashtra and Bihar.

"Anyone who is bringing politics in the case is really the most deplorable thing to do," said the CM.

The entertainment industry and the substances of dependence go hand-in-hand.

These substances of dependence cause serious depression. Many are not able to handle that depression.

    Finding other scapegoats is useless.

Using CBI to forcibly find some scapegoats is just waste of resources and time. Mr Thackeray is right here.

Keep away from the entertainment industry and save yourselves!

With Elections round the corner in Bihar, The BJP will go to any extent to raise flimsy issues to stroke passions for political gains.

Having destroyed the credibility of the CBI as caged parrots and now leading the NIA on the same path, the BJP would like to destroy the credibility of the state police and demoralise them.

Sushanth Singh Rajput death probe links with Bihar election since his cousin Neeraj Kumar Singh Bablu, BJP MLA from Chhatapur, Bihar. Even Godi media is helping BJP by exaggerating it in their primetime debates regularly.

It does not matter whether it’s done with political angle or not but need of the hour is that this case must be handed over to CBI since Mumbai police has so far shown how “effective” are they in handling this case.
