Three-year-old boy dies after choking on peanut in Kerala

Malappuram, Jul 15: A three-year-old boy died after choking on a peanut while eating a snack at his home in Kerala's Malappuram district, police said on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on Monday at Kunnumpuram in Vengara.

According to police, the child was eating a mixture snack when a peanut accidentally became lodged in his throat, causing him to choke.

Family members rushed the toddler to a nearby hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life.

Police said further proceedings are being carried out in connection with the incident.
