Mangaluru: Tony Bejai’s Konkani song album 'Sobit Tu Pisolya' Vol-7 CD released

Mangauru, Jul 11: Konkani supersonic songs of Tony Bejai Vol -7 'Sobit Tu Pisolya' was released on July 10 in a simple way at the residence of Antony Pereira (Tony Bejai). Among the dignitaries present for the above CD release programme were Fr Robert D'Souza, principal of Lourdes Central School, Bejai. Konkani, Hindi and Western music maestro 'Bhishma' of Mangaluru, Patrick Pereira (Patma). Naveen R D’Souza, corporator of Bendore ward, MCC and 'Sobit Tu Pisolya' CD song composer, singer and producer Tony Bejai.

To begin with the programme, Fr Robert D’Souza, principal of Lourdes Central School, Bejai blessed the occasion and invoked blessings from God on all the work done by Tony Bejai in his Vol-7 CD 'Sobit Tu Pisolya' music album and other equipment used to create the album. Rony Crasta, the compere introduced to the audience Vol-7 CD inaugurator Patrick Pereira and requested him to release the Vol-7 CD of Tony Bejai. Patrick Pereira (Patma) delivered a short speech highlighting the importance of protecting the Konkani language, supporting other Konkani musicians, composers and writers, singers for their contributions to the Konkani language.

Patrick Pereira appreciated the commendable job done by Tony Bejai for the Konkani community as he has released six volumes so far; two volumes Konkani songs and four volumes Konkani devotional songs and on the occasion released his Vol-7 CD Konkani songs 'Sobit Tu Pisolya'. He wished good luck and extended his support to Antony Pereira (Tony Bejai) for his future endeavours.

Fr Robert D’Souza gave his message and requested the guests to support the Konkani artists in whichever way they could for their contributions.

Naveen R D’Souza emphasised on the importance to protect the Konkani language and the need to support all the talented artists to survive in today's world wherein the Konkani language is diminishing.
Tony Bejai rendered the vote thanks and thanked all the six musicians who arranged the music for his Vol-7 Konkani songs CD. He also thanked all the four singers for rendering their voice in the new music album.

He briefed about his Vol-7 Konkani songs music album and spoke about the six musicians who arranged the music for his Vol-7 album namely Ashith Pinto, Keerthan Balila, Patrick (Patma) and Patson Pereira, Roshan Corderieo and Sanjay Rodrigues. The singers who rendered their voice are Joshal D’Souza, Tony Bejai, Rony Crasta and Mohammed Iqbal. Further he mentioned the sound engineers who worked for different songs in the album; Shrikanth Srinivas, Patson Pereira, Rynel Sequeira and Shinoy V Joseph.

The programme concluded with a special thanks to all the attendees.
