Udupi, May 29: Udupi district youth Congress president, Vishwas V Ameeen met KPCC president, D K Shivakumar and opposition leader, Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru and submitted a letter requesting them to draw the attention of the state government and chief minister B S Yediyurappa about the alleged illegal mining and trade of sand in the guise of dredging in Swarna river when the country is in panic and lockdown.
Vishwas Ameen provided details of the illegal sand mining in progress in the guise of providing drinking water, to the two Congress leaders and urged that the concerned elected representatives and politicians be punished for participating in the scam.
