Bengaluru: Ailing former CM Siddaramaiah to resign from MLA post?

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Dec 15: Former CM and leader of Congress legislature party of the state Siddaramaiah is mulling resigning from his position of MLA, media reports claim.

Siddaramaiah, who is being treated in a private hospital in the city for heart-related ailment will be discharged on Sunday December 15 in all probability.

Close aides of Siddaramaiah and leaders of state Congress, who had come to inquire his well-being in the hospital have pressured him to take back his resignation, which he has offered for the position of leader of Congress Legislature Party (CLP) and opposition. It is gathered that Siddaramaiah has said that there is no question of backtracking from his decision.

It is also said that Siddaramaiah confided in his close aides, saying, "I had decided to take one step further - of resigning from my MLA position also. However, at the last moment, I decided against it. But I am still thinking about it."

His well-wishers in the party, who were taken aback by this disclosure have requested him not to take such a drastic step. However, Siddaramaiah reportedly asked, "If one rooster does not crow, will there be no dawn?"

"Sun rises and sets every day. Similarly I am not inevitable for politics. Even if I am not there, politics will continue," said Siddaramaiah according to sources, and thereby applied brakes to the efforts of his close aides to make him take back his resignation from the post of CLP leader.

Siddus appeasement politics rear ended his career as CM. His home constituency results reflect the fact and anger . Cong really need a good leader at the top . Sad to hear that Siddu was like a peon to Mrs , HDK in his last stint . Siddu had to go thru all this humiliation only to ensure survival of the grand old party and its leader at the centre. Siddu was just waiting for the coalition to fall, But then, everything comes with a price.

Hasty and discriminating politics by Center and State made Siddaramayajee fedoff from politics. He was a Dynamic CM and Role model for all Indian Chief Ministers of past and present. Better take respectful retirement.

All blackmail tricks by this selfish chap. By creating sympathy, he wants to avoid to become a Bakra to the Hi-Command and Senior politicians. He has finished Congress literally. First of all people do not perceive him. One thing is sure that Siddu is not such a stupid to resign from MLA post unless there is hidden agenda.

First people must throw Yeddeurappa who plays bad politics by using money power.
Through out India, politics has become party feud and avenging each other with bad words.
Less of ruling and more of fighting.

Must be fed-up of dirty politics and wants to relax in order to take care of health conditions.
"Sun rises and sets every day"
Well said, unlike others senior politicians who either change party and prolong their political life even when they cannot walk without the help walking aid.
