Congress to adopt nationalism as tool to boost fortunes?

Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi (SP)

New Delhi, Oct 8: Congress party, which has slid down the popularity scale after running the union government for decades, seems to be facing reverses one after the other. Specifically, Narendra Modi - Amit Shah combination appears to have succeeded in shadowing the Congress and conquering new territories for the BJP.

After a brief stint, Rahul Gandhi resigned as the party went from bad to worse during his tenure. Now Sonia Gandhi is at the helm, and the party high command had drawn up a strategy to buoy the party's performance in the election.

It has been evident that the party's stand in seeking proof of surgical strike, demanding evidence of air strike, and recent comment of Rahul Gandhi about Kashmir which Pakistan used to oppose India at the United Nations, have all gone against the Congress. The party, it appears, has failed to project its firm stand on issues like nationalism and security of the country.

The Congress leaders have noted that the BJP has been harping on nationalism, security of the country, army, and soldiers. At the same time, Congress leaders used to face debacle due to internal conflicts and disputed statements issued by its leaders.

The Congress high command, it is learnt, now wants to project the party as the one with strong nationalist beliefs. It is learnt that the high command plans to provide training to party leaders on the issue of nationalism at national, state, block, and district levels. It is learnt that the party has finalized this issue during the meeting of Congress state presidents and party's people's representatives held during September this year.

The party wants to bank on the leading role the party played in freedom struggle, and its achievements when ruling the country, contributions made by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, crushing defeat inflicted on Pakistan in the 1971 war and dividing Pakistan by separating Bangladesh due to the tactics used by Indira Gandhi etc to impress the electorate about the nationalist credentials of the party.

Congress will never recover...just like congress was single ruling party for decades, BJP will take its place...because of globalisation, many things like ideology, social issues have become secondary, money and benefits are primary...

Dalith leaders such as Ram Vilas Paswan, Athavale have comfortably switched over to BJP because of the magnet of power and pelf...Unfortunately this family is not understanding the ground reality..being single largest opposition party, they should take initiatives in alternate parties unity and strategies...Congress going back to Gandhi family is the death knell of political opposition in India...Jai Ram Ramesh, Tharoor would have been better choice...

The grand old Indian national Congress party is certainly in an ICU..... gasping for its last breath !!!! Nehru wanted his progeny, to rule India, divide n rule policy, inherited from the British, was a success for five generations... PM Modiji and his disciple, Amit Shah, has demoralized the entire dynasty....The fear of horror, helplessness, disbelief, can be visualized, in the eyes of their netas, who are ditching the sinking ship !!!!!!

Truth has come out that they are not nationalistic party. Nationalism is not divide and rule the country based on religion, caste or creed. We are all Indian's. Work for the betterment of the country but demolising corruption and good governance in the interest of the people.

I am not sure whether you are successful. But no harm in trying to return back to power.

    Jai Hind.

BJP is having RSS to back nationalism from where in good leaders emerged. How about congress..party of 125 years played card of secularism by developing enmity amongst people. While in power dodamma given chance only people from minority community in highest post. Reason fall of congress. No development.

Congress party President and assistant are cruising and trying to salvage the sinking ship. However, they must realize that it is not the waves, nor the storms, but often they themselves are responsible for the disastrous condition of the ship! It is too late now. Politically in experienced team, please desist from making further ventures in a wrong direction.
You guys are not fit to be future heroes of India.

Nationalism comes from heart , you can't adopt it...Congi leaders and supporters must understand this simple basic logic...Modi Govt might not have developed country, but surely people trust this Govt for its commitment towards Safety and Security of Country...Two Surgical strikes, and Article 370 ban have given more power to BJP and destroyed Congress..
