"The head constable, who has been transferred, needs training in sensitive skills. So he has been deputed for 10 days of training," said joint commissioner of traffic department B R Ravikanthe Gowda.

A preliminary report was prepared by ACP C J Rangaswamy on the whole incident of assault on the driver by head constable Mahaswamy. He is accused of dereliction of duty in the report and accordingly he has been transferred for fresh training.

Chargesheet has been prepared against Mahaswamy and a departmental inquiry has been ordered. An officer of the grade of DySP will conduct the inquiry. Once the inquiry is over, decision will be taken on the action that needs to be taken against Mahaswamy.

Giving details of the incident and action taken, B R Ravikanthe Gowda, said, "Skills training will be given to the head constable. So he has been sent to 10 days of training. He will be taught on people-friendly policing and also how to behave with the public,"

In the midst of this, Sunil, the mini truck driver, who was at the receiving end of the anger of head constable Mahaswamy, has gone missing since the evening of Friday. Sunil had called his mother and had given details of the assault that had taken place on him. However, his mobile phone is in switched off mode after that.

It is said that four strangers had even gone to the house of Sunil on the night of Saturday and threatened his mother. A case in this connection stands registered in the Puttenahalli police station.

Dear Jt. C P (Traffic) - i have a submission to make. From your action it is understood that it is ok to beat and assault another person. So when the common man beats the police in return there should be no case on the common man.

However, you logic is lousy. You need training first.

This cop should be terminated from duty for Assault. If he was a private sector employee, then he would have been shown the door by now.

This is the problem with government departments in India and that's the reason why India will not succeed in another 1,000 years. If we learn to take strict action against petty crimes then it will surely set a precedent.

The Constable only transferred !!!!! Strange. First he should have been suspended and then enquiry shoould have been conducted. Constable already been trained in Police training then why he should be trained again, why wastage of money. It means, Department supports the constable for the misbehaviour. How many people may be facing harassment and only a few comes to the notice and there is no right action. Why and who sent four people went to the driver's house to threatened his mother. What is the reason behind missing of driver ???????????? . What is the motive behind threatening driver's mother. There may not be third person...
