Bengaluru: D K Shivakumar's bail petition – Decision on September 25

Bengaluru, Sep 22: Former minister and Congress leader, D K Shivakumar, who is currently in Tihar Jail relating to allegation of money laundering, had filed bail application in the special court at New Delhi. 

The court, which conducted hearing into the petition on Saturday September 21, reserved its orders for September 25. During the hearing, additional solicitor general, K M Nataraj, who appeared on behalf of the enforcement directorate, argued that Shivakumar had committed serious economic offences and that if released, he might influence witnesses and destroy evidences as he is a powerful leader. He also argued in the presence of Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar, that Shivakumar cannot convert his tainted property into legal one by just paying taxes.

 

Senior advocates, Mukul Rohatgi and Abhishek Manu Singhvi, arguing on behalf of Shivakumar, accused the enforcement directorate of desperately trying to keep Shivakumar inside jail. They said that their client was innocent. 

The judge, after hearing the arguments, reserved orders for 3.30 pm on September 25. Therefore, Shivakumar is under compulsion to spend time inside the jail till Wednesday.

PM Modiji mania has swept the nation and even today Howdy Modi, fever has captured the hearts and minds of all Non residents Indians in the USA and developed western nations !!!

    I am surprised to see Mukul Rohatgi being a lawyer of Shivakumar along with Singhvi. He is the same lawyer fighting for rebel MLA's and was also the Solicitor General in Modi 1. So what is the net result, where DKS is tilting now?

    Chances of getting bail is highly impossible...It is a Himalayan task !! The way Lawyer Mr Natraj argued in the court last week almost gave a clear picture of result to everyone including DKshi..He submitted a truck load of records and evidences against DKshi and attacked in his typical style for One and half hours ...He made DKshi Lawyer a mere spectator....Verdict on 25th Sep'19 will give a very strong message to all corrupt politicians who looted Tax Payers Money...Hope ED & IT will start questioning BJP politicians also along with Congi leaders...Then only common man will have big relief..

    All the politicians, irrespective of whether they belong to BJP, Congress or JDS who are involved in scams should be punished. We common man struggle for our daily bread, wheras these politicians get everything without earning. Why should they enjoy life lavishly without any hardwork, struggle ? If they understand common maan's problem, then our country will be more advanced without any scams.
