Mangaluru: Police raid prostitution den - rescue two women, man absconds

Mangaluru, Feb 1: Police raided a flat at Shakthinagar in the city, which falls under the limits of Kankanady city police station, in which a man named Girish was carrying out prostitution through two women. 

The accused Girish absconded during the operation. Two women found in the said flat were rescued by the police. 

A case stands registered under Immoral Traffic (Prevention) (I T P) Act, against Girish, who used to entice the victim ladies to engage in prostitution. 

This operation was conducted by Ramakrishna, police inspector, E & N police station and personnel along with Ashok, police inspector of Kankanady city police station, Janaki, assistant police sub-inspector and personnel.
