Mangaluru, Jul 30: The NSS unit of Srinivas College of Pharmacy Valachil, Mangaluru in association with ISKCON, Kudupu, Mangalore & Indian Pharmaceutical Association local branch organized personality development programme on July 29. The programme was conducted with the objective of motivating students to develop a balanced personality by integrating professional excellence with ethical and spiritual values.
Dr A R Shabaraya, principal and director, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, in his presidential remarks, emphasized the importance of holistic personality development and encouraged students to cultivate discipline, compassion, leadership qualities, and professional ethics for a successful career in healthcare.

The event featured two eminent speakers, Dr Vanamali Govinda Das, spiritual mentor for youths and oral & maxillofacial surgeon, AJ Hospital, Mangaluru, delivered an inspiring session on the role of spirituality in shaping character, improving emotional well-being, and leading a meaningful life. Dr Ashok Shetty, MD, dermatologist, shared valuable insights on the topic "Pharmacology and Spirituality", highlighting the importance of combining scientific knowledge with moral and spiritual values to provide compassionate patient care.
Dr Kumara Prasad S A, vice president, IPA DK District, local branch, Mangaluru introduced the distinguished guests. The sessions were highly interactive and encouraged students to reflect on the significance of personal values, positive thinking, self-discipline, and effective communication in both personal and professional life. NSS programme officer, Dr Shripathy D, professor coordinated the programme. Priyanka student’s council president proposed vote of thanks.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students, making it a meaningful and enriching experience that inspired everyone to strive for excellence through the harmonious integration of science, ethics, and spirituality.
