Udupi: Arrival of Hazel's body from Saudi further delayed

Udupi, Sep 26: The dispatch of the mortal remains of Hazel from Shirva, working as nurse in Saudi Arabia, who breathed her last about two months back, has further been delayed.

Earlier, the family had got information that the body of Hazel would be received at Bengaluru on September 25, and arrangements had been made to bring it in an ambulance and perform the funeral the next day. Because of technical reasons, the mortal remains will now arrive at Bengaluru on September 27 by Gulf Airways cargo from where it will be brought here in an ambulance on Friday morning. There are indications that last minute changes might further delay the arrival. If everything goes on as per plan, the funeral will be performed on Friday at Our Lady of Health Church at Shirva.

Saudi administration had retained the mortal remains of the deceased nurse for over two months citing investigation, technical reasons, non-availability of officials etc. The family of Hazel has been spending days in a gloomy atmosphere.

    I find it is a pitiful condition.we cant say much to the situation there.Because we do not know what is the reason.I pity her family.They are going everyday this drama s if she dies everyday new.Horrible.cant imagine.Only pray her mortal remains arrive fast and may God help it,enlighten officials mind to end this day by day dieing everyday.They must be having some reason which they dont want to say to public?Hazel you wanted to come to your house for good ,Is it the way you chose to come home ?or you dont want to come now?You must be looking from above all this.Please come atlast and relieve your family from their mental tension.RIP Hazel

    RIP Hazel,
    Truly it is saddening to read still the body has not come. At the same time since this is a unnatural death. authorities have to investigate the cause. In case of natural deaths normally within a week dead bodies will reach the destination.

    I feel very sad for Hazel's family back home because they have been longing to have their daughter Hazel's dead body to have their last sight and pay tribute since two months.It is really heart burning.Hazel's death occurred two months back and since then her mortal remains has been lying in Saudi for various reasons.Anyhow I pray Almighty God to give the departed soul of Hazel an eternal peace and bestow courage,strength,patience to withstand such a tragic loss.Om Shanthi.RIP

    One call from Indian government would have yield a faster result.

    they even make labours to suffer to settle the issues with their employer dragging months and months without job-food etc finally labour would say 'I do not want any compensation or settlement please cancel my resident and let me go to my family at least with empty hand'. that is the power of administration.

    Look at our mentality and system even dead body will face technical problems.normally nowerdays it will take 3 to 4 days just rech any goods sent from bangalore to mangalore,forget dead body.

    Why are they not performing a post mortem here. The Saudi's have acted strangely enough to warrant it, the unnecessary delay appears to be an attempt at some cover up. RIP Hazel.

    Feeling sad for the family members ...
    Let me say something.
    Saudi officials are least bothered who dies ....They don't care ... They stick to their own rules .Non one can force anyone to work even their seniors cant push his junior to work.
    We don't know who is working hard Or struggling to release her body..I am sure some Idian social service organization are struggling.
    I am sure not our govt officials . They are also not bothered because Hazel is not a celebrate ..She is just a ordinary worker.If it was some ministers Son Or some celebrate her body would have released may be in one week.( example Sridevi. But still UAE is fast in this matter ..Let it be anyone ..Body is released a soon as possible.).
    so Hazel parents friends & wellwishers have to just wait.
    Once the body reaches to Bangalore then we can we can say its released.
    Its very sad .....Lets just pray for the Family & for her soul.

    family is waiting from 2 months to receive the body.

    If same happen to one keralite means they will use their all powers.
