Mangalore needs another 25 years to become smart city. By that time we all will be dead. So what is the use. Just cancel smart city project. Just complete uncompleted projects at least . Mangaloreans will bless you.

Your existing city has no room to convert into a smart city.
To convert your city into a smart city, you need smart people for smart planning and they are to be foresighted to see what will be situation/condition after 25 years. They will analyse and plan the requirement accordingly.
Your present planners will make a mess of your city and will award the bids to those who are smart in kick backs.
You need to impose deadlines to every bidder. If it's a bridge, divide the work like piles to one company, beams to another, concrete work to another, electrification to another etc. By having this kind of system, deadlines every bidder has to complete their job in time and your bridge will be ready in time. (bridge is just an example)
Consult people who are smart people....

Before we ute smart city plan, please analyse problems faced by the residents in the community.
    1. Kodical main road: In several areas there are no gutters or storm water drains. Where there are gutters they are full of silt, which leads to overflowing and artificial flooding during rain. It also creates waterlogging on roads and also gushes into houses during heavy rains..
It has been several years without desilting the main road gutters.
Could you please address these problems first?

Mr. Mayor, could you please elaborate on the action plan step by step as to how you are going to complete the Smart City project by 2022? The Highway Authority has not been able to clear the stay on a few inches of land acquisition for road widening at Gorigudda (near Fisheries College). Pumpwell flyover is another joke. The City Corporation clearing all such stays that would be crop up during the implementation of the Smart City project and completing the work by 2022 would definitely be the eighth wonder of the world.

    Roads condition very bad.
    No foot path.
Vehicle parking on the middle of the road in most of the areas.
These are the basic problems to be solved by corporation.

    All other things are secondary.

Kavitha Sanil always came to check and trying to solve the problem though she is a lady and having family.
