Mangaluru: Technical problem - Air India Mumbai flight stranded at airport

Mangaluru, Jun 12: After some technical problems were noticed in Air India 680 flight that was to depart for Mumbai at 12.40 pm on Monday June 11, the flight was cancelled.

The flight returned from the runway because of the technical snag. Thereafter some of the passengers were sent by other flights while the others were accommodated in hotels here.

Out of 110 passengers, 72 were provided hotel accommodation, 13 cancelled their journey, and 14 who needed to travel because of various emergencies, were accommodated in alternative flights. The officials said that nine have deferred their travel.

Technicians are looking into the problem. Sources in the airport said that the flight is likely to depart on June 12.
