Mangaluru, May 25: In a significant contribution towards strengthening public healthcare, Rohan Corporation, through its CSR initiative, donated a multi-parameter monitor worth Rs 10 lac to Wenlock District Hospital.

The equipment was formally handed over by Rohan Corporation chairman Dr Rohan Monteiro to Wenlock Hospital medical superintendent Dr Shivaprakash during the “Evening of Gratitude 2026” programme held at Ocean Pearl, Kodialbail, on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, MLC Ivan D’Souza, who attended as chief guest, lauded Dr Rohan Monteiro for his continued commitment to community welfare. He said Dr Monteiro’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming a successful entrepreneur serves as an inspiration to many.

Appreciating the CSR initiative, he noted that the contribution would benefit the most vulnerable sections of society and strengthen healthcare services for those in need.

Receiving the equipment, Dr Shivaprakash highlighted the importance of multi-parameter monitors in modern healthcare. He explained that the device is extensively used in emergency wards, ICUs, NICUs, special care units and operation theatres to continuously monitor vital patient parameters such as oxygen saturation, pulse rate, blood pressure and respiratory functions.

He stated that the new monitor would greatly enhance patient care and support timely medical intervention, particularly for economically disadvantaged patients visiting the hospital.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Rohan Monteiro said quality healthcare should be accessible to everyone regardless of financial background. He expressed confidence that the donated equipment would improve patient monitoring facilities at Wenlock Hospital and contribute to better treatment outcomes for underprivileged patients.

The event also featured a panel discussion on “Real Estate in India: Mangalore’s Emerging Position”, with industry experts sharing insights into the city’s growing prominence in the real estate sector.

Rohan Corporation director Dion Monteiro proposed the vote of thanks, while Sahil Zahir compered the programme.

The CSR initiative reflects Rohan Corporation’s ongoing commitment to supporting healthcare and community development, reinforcing its vision of creating a positive impact beyond business.
