Mangaluru, May 21: H D Kumaraswamy after visiting Dharmasthala on Tuesday said that he would implement the Yettinahole project without any damage or alteration on the surface of the Western Ghats.

Speaking to the media persons HDK on May 21 said that he would take people of coastal Karnataka into confidence and implement the project in favour of the farmers without damaging the natural wealth.

Reacting to communal incidents in the coastal region, Kumaraswamy said that instead of involving in such incidents, people of the region must live in harmony.

Yettinahole Integrated Drinking Water Project is designed to quench the thirst of nearly 7 million people in drought-prone Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Ramanagaram, Tumakuru, Bengaluru Rural, and Hassan districts.

The main problem lies in the thinking of tuluvas. The real solution for boridasude project is form a separate tulunad state and and for all stop this kannada chauvinism. They deceptively added tulunadu to karnataka although we are not kannadigas. My question is are tulunad people really intelligen? If yes we would definitely fight for tulunad state. The first step is to converse in tulu rather than kannad

Demanding separate state as per culture and tradition may look good . But when it comes to resources , economy we are not stronger.This will put us on danger,just like how all the divided states like telangana ,uttarkhand ,we will be sidelined.And you are saying tulu is completely different from Kannada is blasphemous.

Tuluva kings used to write in kannada and hale kannada script in olden days.Tuluvas ,Kodavas,Vokkaligas,lingayats,kurubas all these are clans of karnataka.

I know many upper caste hindus with sirname Bhats still speak only kannada inspite of their ancestors tuluvas.

Last but not least population size of hindus will diminish compare 85%majority in karnataka than in karavali as we have borders like kasaragod,Goa,Bhatkal etc.You know what I mean.

This is the kind of foolishness we have in tulunadu. If Bhats speak kannad they do not become kannadigas. There are many moorkha shikamanis who speak in English. That does not mean that are English people. Do not talk rubbish. Kannadigas who are linguistic fanatics have been imposing their language on us. Come to bangalor and see . Kannad is not spoken . Only foolish people from tulunad adore this language. Due to Karnataka evenwe are considered backward. Time is up we separate from karnatak. Days are not far we will not even get the opportunity to claim for tulunad as they will destroy us.

Who said we are speaking or someone forcing Kannada on us.Its misconception you have i guess.

Kannadigas are most tolerant people from south India.That's why bengaluru is emerging as multicultural city.And they are imposing kannada that too in karavali.May be you are dreaming.Here all from doctors to roadside sweeper speaks in tulu.There is no problem in here.

May be you have your own personal agenda that's why u wnat to divide.May be you belong to neighouring state or Majority of your blood relative from neighouring states.

It is always the handiwork of such people to create confusion among kannadigas and sub kannadigas (tuluvas and kodavas) ,as they are insecure that we are part of Karnataka,while in reality they want us to impose their communist philosophy.

I ve seen many in facebook also hailing from border kerala wants mangalore out of karnataka so as to they want to dominate fully.

First of all they have no right to pokenin our stately affairs.So if you are also one among pls stay out of this carnatic rich culture state.

How Tulu Nadu feasible when so many Tulu people in Bengaluru and other parts of KN...they will be second class citizens...

Moreover in Mangalore so many Bearis, Konkanis do not support Tulu Nadu idea and Udupi district Kannada is majoity language there.

Bearies can be treated as locals ..but konkanis are not locals ..they are migrants from north..with their roots in kashmir,but they are hindus .,
The key here is development ...Language need not be a basis .. ..Big states are divided ..for eg ..uttarakand,telangana are divided to provide effective administration

The same logic can be applied to coastal karnataka,kodagu ..kasargod,and districts certains areas adjoining to udupi,DK and Uttarakannada...These parts should be separated from Karnataka ..

What nonsense is this Konkani's are not locals. Should they go back to North India. We are part of Karnataka and proud to be called as Kannadigas at the same time we have equal pride about Konkani. Telengana Andhra split is a bad example, now both are suffering. Larger the state more united and better sharing of resources and more development. Then why not make each taluka a separate state.

First of all it is practically not possible to form a Tulunadu state as Konkanis, Bearys, Arabhashe, Kundagannada and Kannadigas will like to stay in Karnataka. If at all it happens very soon there will be enmity among all these language groups and it will have to be further broken into many other small states. Also the large population of Tuluvas who are leading a very happy life in other parts on Karnataka will be treated differently. We from north Karnataka are also feeling discriminated but would not like to go the Telangana way. We will have to continue fight for our equal rights and our regions development and not just around Bangalore. At the same Kannadigas in Bangalore and Mysore are feeling that very soon the north Indians will take over their cities as every day thousands of north indians are flooding into the cities everyday. There are 8% Bengalis in Bangalore now and very soon they will be 20%.

I agree, see the climatic conditions in Mangalore now. It is hot like hell. We still cut down Trees, bring down hills which added beautiful to beautiful Mangalore. Instead of building roads using concrete please build it using the old and traditional method.

Yettinahole project will defiantly damage the western ghats which is classified as high sensitive eco-zone.

Till election all parties were silent now there are showing there true colours. I pray any political party thinks of doing any harm should be destroyed.

Our twin districts are being plundered since last 15 to 20 years for the sake of other districts...First it was mega power plants,,then strategic reserve and now this project, while all we got was more and more hot and humid weather and black dust on our homes,trees and inside our lungs.. Majority of our kids and elderly are suffering with respiratory problems in recent years...and we all are getting more and more hotter summers by the year..

I am not an expert on environmental matters, and neither is HDK nor you.

But the fact is that the whole project is about shifting huge quantity of water from western side of western ghat to the eastern side. Further, the United Nations (not Modi, just to clarify) has classified Western Ghats as a highly sensitive eco-zone.

Who is HDK to comment that Yettinahole project will be implemented “without damaging the nature”? Has there ever been a detailed independent environmental impact study? Has anyone from general public seen any such report? Isn’t there a perfectly justifiable reason as to why the National Green Tribunal put a stay on the project?

Moreover, doesn’t it sound like just another passing comment by a politician. There is absolutely no conviction in his statement.

Let us not debate about RGs religion here . Pappu never visits temples on regular days, Is he doing it now.
