Like any other feel this is also a team work, a multi disciplinary approach to every case is warranted. The primary care physician screens and recognizes the cases which need a special intervention or attention and patient is referred to the foetal medicine specialist.”

She also said, “The foetal medicine specialist on the path diagnosis, evaluates and works on each case and suggests the necessary intervention and treatment and patient is referred back to the physician. However, in some cases we might need to involve the doctor and specialist from the other departments like the paediatric surgeon, who work together to bring up a suitable and efficient plan for the best management for a particular case.”

During the interactive session, answering a query when asked about major challenges in implementing a better health care system here in India like USA or Canada, Dr Sampath Shivangi said, “In Canada there are 80000 physicians and they work for the government of Canada. They request the government to cut off their salaries because they feel it’s too high for them. But here no one will say it; I mean to say we need to develop integrity as it is a noble profession. Don't be greedy that is the bottom line and see the other side of the patient too".

When asked how rise in cases of patients depending on Google and demanding doctors for the treatment can be tackled, Dr Sampath said, "We should be patient enough to explain what is right and what is wrong. Today Google has become a fashion and trend for everything. In western countries people come with a list of questions and it’s our obligation to make them understand.
