Ballari: In fresh controversy, Ananth Kumar Hegde terms Dalit organizations 'dogs'

Daijiworld Media Network - Ballari

Ballari, Jan 20: Raking up a fresh controversy, union minister Ananth Kumar Hegde on Saturday January 20 termed members of Dalit organizations who had gheraoed his car as 'dogs'.

Members of Dalit organizations gheraoed his car and waved black flags in protest against his recent statement on 'changing' the Constitution. The police immediately intervened and managed to disperse the protestors.

Thereafter, Hegde participated in the job fair and said, "We are stubborn. We have the drive and strength to build the nation. We do not get intimidated by dogs barking on the streets. This is my nature. There is no question of caving in."

The protestors gheroed his car when he was travelling from the inspection bunglow to the job fair venue. MP Sriramulu who was with him tried to pacify the protestors, but in vain.

In December 2017, speaking at a programme in Koppal, Hegde had stirred a controversy over his comment that his party which is in power at the centre was 'ready to change the Constitution'. The comment led to protests and widespread condemnation, after which Hegde apologised.

IRRESPECTVIVE OF WHICH CASTE PROTESTERS BELONGS TO, THOSE WHO COME ON

STREETS INSTEAD OF TAKING IT A PROPER WAY ARE NOTHING BUT BARKING DOGS.

AT PRESENT CONGRESS TERMED THOSE PROTESTERS AS DALIT ORGANISATIONS TO TAKE

ADVANTAGE AS OPPORTUNISTS . NOW MINORITY ISSUE IS NOT WORKING IN POLITICS.

THAT IS WHY DALIT ISSUE HAS BEEN BROUGHT. HOWEVER, IT MAY WORKOUT IN THE

SHORT RUN BUT IN THE LONG RUN IT WILL REVERT BACK.

'Reservation' is the biggest CANCER of this country, which is un wanted in this 21st century. Long time back in the past there was a need and cause for it to bring poor people so that people from Dalit community, SC/ST sections of the society are recognized and get better living and employment opportunities, by Government aids. Also, this was one of the Vote bank politics by political parties in olden days. However, the ages have passed now and the country is still facing problem of other communities also trying to get into the reservation category to snatch the government benefits. End of the day, all these are affecting tax payers money collectively and increase the burden of people who pay taxes ( not who evade the taxes). So why this country continue with reservation system? every citizen is important for this country (not just a Dalit). the benefits of reservation have been largely miss used so far and do not go in right direction. Better to abolish this system.

Ananth Kumar Hegde is Exhibiting his time tested SKILL of instigating the communal sentiments, igniting the fire and spreading the hatred between communities.
I think this mission has been assigned to him by the Chanakiya of BJP along with the blessing of our honorable Pradhan Sevak as Hegde is a Master of this art of playing with cast/religious hate politics and en-cashing it in the elections.
The sudden active political role of Ananth Kumar Hegde in creating controversies in recent days is pointer that he is proving his criteria to be the next CM of Karnataka under BJP regime.

We see different situations, very strange in recent days. Humans have become the Protectors of God and ready to kill one another on the pretext of protecting
God. We are already pushed into a state of no mind to think and act according to illusions putforth. When we Elders today have become arrogant and violent, how can we expect our next generation to be peaceful?? If we sow the seeds of peace today, tomorrow we will definitely reap the fruits of peace. Unless people become wise, justice cannot be expected, even at the highest aspirated points, as we see it.

One doesn't need too much common sense to decipher that this Hegde has the full backing of his masters in Delhi. The PM can't do it openly, so he has selected persons like Yogi and Hegde to do all these dirty jobs. If the PM is opposed to such talk, how long does it take for him to put such people in their places? Does he have to beg his people by saying 'If you have to attack, attack me and not Dalits. If you want to shoot, shoot me and not Dalits?' Where there is a will, there is a way. When there is no will, he can only shed crocodile tears. As far as this Hegde goes, leave alone being a minister, I doubt if he can even be considered a human being.

The Prime Minister was addressing a party meet in Hyderabad came down heavily on the perpetrators of violence on dalits and slammed the attacks said "If you want to attack, attack me, not dalits. If you want to shoot, shoot me".
Now his own Cabinet rank minister appointed for 'Skill development' is tagging the Dalits of India 'dogs'.It should be noted that, in an interview to 'Reuters' PM Modi himself compared the victims Gujarat Muslims during communal violence 'puppy under the wheel'. Now it has became common practice in BJP to compare humans to 'Dogs'.
Though Narendra Modi has a record of maintaining strategic silence on mob violence, he has employed it more in the context of brutalities against Muslims than against Dalits.
What is the point of electing Dalit President to India, who can't speak against the atrocities?
Why Is the President and PM terrified of holding even a single press conference against the mob violence?
Article 17 of the Indian Constitution has banned untouchability in any form. Section 504 of IPC deals with intentional insults, and 506 pertains to punishment for criminal intimidation. Union minister Ananth Kumar Hegde should be booked SC/ST Act and other sections of IPC for insulting and threatening Dalits.
As far as PM Modi who want to be get killed, will ever act against his own minister who became habitual offender?
