Easy Home Charging – The e2oPlus can be easily charged through any normal 16 Amp plug point, making it highly convenient and easy.

Small Turning Radius – With a small turning radius of 4.35m and electric power steering, the e2oPlus makes maneuvering the tough city traffic highly easy.

Compact yet spacious – The e2oPlus has been designed smart with ample knee room, headroom and cabin space, making it versatile for families of all sizes.

Low expenses

Direct Drive Transmission – The e2oPlus operates without a conventional gear box - which means no clutch. This translates to reduced mechanical losses resulting in maximum efficiency.

Depreciation benefits – Self-employed and businesses can avail tax savings of close to Rs. 1.6 lakhs on purchase of the e2oPlus in the first year itself.

Low maintenance – Fewer moving parts in the car accompanied by real time monitoring by Mahindra experts ensure glitch free driving and low maintenance.

Government incentives – Government offers tax exemptions, subsidies and incentives to ensure low purchasing cost for electric vehicles like the e2oPlus.

Environmentally friendly

Zero tail-pipe emissions

Low carbon footprint

Strong Connectivity

Remote Diagnostics – The e2oPlus has 10 on-board computers that track around 196 performance and health related parameters to ensure that any possible snag is fixed as soon as it crops up.

Regular Progress Reports – Car performance and driving patterns are analyzed to review the battery’s service requirements which help improve the vehicle’s overall performance.

Charging Ports – The e2oPlus app informs on the nearest charging station in order to ensure a peaceful drive for the car through the city.

Smart Phone app connectivity – The e2oPlus app puts the car’s information and control in one’s smart phone. It allows one to lock/unlock the car, retrieve performance metrics and health metrics and draw charging schedules.

In USA, the well known brand TESLA costs above USD 100,000 compared to USD 30,000 for similar petrol model. TSLA runs 300+ miles or 500 Kms on one charge.
That is price is 3 times higher than the Petrol model.
I do understand if we compare the pricing, this electric model will cost Rs 8 lakhs for similar 2.75 lakhs in Petrol variety.
Considering cost of electricity and total life the of the model, is it worth to put that amount , and if the RTO gives only 20 years validity for the total life of the car, without taking into account any accidents.

Electric cars or electric vehicles will be the cars of the future. Indian cities are ideal for electric cars especially for daily commute as the driving distance is usually not far away. However, supporting infrastructure needs to be added to recharge the batteries at night time or when the car is resting at a place. It can be at apartments, fast charging stations etc. Some of the existing petrol bunks will have to be converted to electric fast charging stations and new ones needs to be added. You can just imagine the pollution level in say Bangalore 10 years from now when majority of the vehicles are electric vehicles. China is leading the world in pushing for electric vehicles and you can very well guess, the battery prices will come down substantially as well.

Its good on reducing pollution & economical in the long run.
The cost can be reduced if govt. gives exemption before they come to the showroom itself instead of subsidies when or after buying.
Tesla of US has built far bigger & better cars with Lithium Cells though costing more they travel 200-250 "MILES" per charge, which will make the city people opt for them as most of the people don't even drive 100Kms in a city.
Its time Mahindra tie up with them to produce those cars which on large scale production will cost cheaper with incentives provided by government.

Problem is the battery. What is the battery life and how much does it cost to install a new battery. That is the problem in these vehicles- technology has still not been perfected in INDIA .
