Mangaluru, Aug 29: Ladyhill School (ICSE) came alive with excitement, love, laughter, and boundless joy as it hosted a spectacular Grandparents’ Day celebration. Inspired by the heartwarming theme, 'Grandparents are the heart of the family', the celebration was filled with vibrant energy and countless unforgettable moments.
The little ones from nursery to grade II came together with immense enthusiasm to express their love and gratitude to their beloved grandparents, the pillars, anchors, and guiding lights of their families. The air was filled with cheerful smiles, heartfelt moments, warm embraces, and the beautiful spirit of togetherness, making the celebration a truly joyous and memorable tribute to the special bond between generations.
A wave of warmth, colour, and celebration filled the air as students in stunning traditional attire rolled out the red carpet to welcome their beloved grandparents and esteemed dignitaries. Each grandparent was warmly honoured with a heart-shaped badge, symbolising the special place they hold in every family.
The event was graced by chief guest Dr Nelly Nazareth, renowned ophthalmologist from Mangaluru, along with principal Sr Therese Teena AC, administrator Sr Ida Barboza AC, KG coordinator Sr Marlin Cristal D’Cunha, and PTA vice president Paresh Narendra.
The energy in the room soared as the event kicked off with a touching prayer, followed by a high-spirited action dance and a warm welcome dance that set a joyful tone for the day. A breathtaking inauguration where giant butterfly wings unfolded to reveal the words 'Wisdom, Love, and Memories'. It was a truly magical symbol of the priceless role grandparents play in our lives!
The spotlight soon shifted to the tiniest stars of the day. The adorable play school toddlers lit up the stage with a lively, high-energy dance that had hearts melting and smiles spreading across the hall. Their vibrant performance beautifully celebrated the joy and warmth of family, followed by the soul-stirring wishing song, 'You are the heart of the family', which filled the venue with love and emotion.
Keeping the energy soaring, KG II superstars took center stage with a heartfelt gratitude performance that had the audience clapping, cheering, and beaming with pride. It was a delightful celebration of love, talent, and the beautiful bond between generations.
In her inspiring address, the chief guest shared an incredible, meaningful message, urging parents, grandparents, and teachers alike to step into the shoes of today's children. She beautifully reminded everyone that this fast-changing world requires us to understand, support, and guide the younger generation with fresh, empathetic eyes.
The fun and excitement soared even higher with a series of lively and hilarious spot games specially curated for the grandparents. The hall echoed with laughter, cheers, and applause as the wonderful elders enthusiastically embraced their playful side, creating moments of pure joy and togetherness. The celebration reached its grand finale with a spectacular prize distribution ceremony, where the talented students of nursery, KG I and II were proudly recognized for their outstanding achievements in various competitions. The excitement doubled as the thrilled winners of the spot games were also felicitated amidst loud cheers and beaming smiles.
The event concluded on a warm and heartfelt note with a sincere vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who made the celebration so special.
