Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School organises family talent show

Mangaluru, Aug 29: Lourdes Central School organised a Family Talent Show on August 28 at the LCS Summit Hall under the theme ‘Family grows when talent shines.’ The event aimed to strengthen family bonds and provide a platform for families to showcase their talents.

The programme began with a prayer by the little talents of KG 2, followed by a warm welcome address by the KG 1 students. The event was honoured by the presence of our esteemed judges, Ivy Miranda and Priyanka Chettiyar, who graciously joined us for the occasion. The judges were formally introduced by ma’am Lavita D’Souza.

The kindergarten teachers then presented a lively dance drama depicting the spirit of the family talent show.

The event was formally inaugurated by our respected principal Father Johnson L Sequeira, along with vice principal Anitha Thomas and coordinator Linette Pereira. After the inaugural principal addressed the gathering and appreciated the confidence and stage presence of the Little Lourdites. He applauded the teachers for their hard work, creativity, and dedication, and thanked the parents for their enthusiastic participation and support.

The programme then continued with a fun ice-breaking session by ma’am Malini and ma’am Andrea that brought energy and excitement to the gathering. The much-awaited family talent performances then began, with families enthusiastically showcasing their singing and dancing talents. There were total of 23 participants, including five group song performance and 18 dance drama participants. After each performance a photo session was held and the participants were presented with gift as a token of love a and appreciation. They also had an opportunity to put their ideas on paper in the form of drawing or craft under the theme ‘Crafting memories together’.

The event also included an entertaining tongue-twister game for the parents, which created laughter and excitement among the audience. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the family talent show a memorable and successful celebration of family, talent, and togetherness.
