Mangaluru, Nov 29: Journalist Jagannath Shetty Bala’s 'Tulu Sinimavalokana’, is a book on the many unknown facts of Tulu film industry. Authored and published by Bala, the book offers a snapshot of Coastalwood from the first Tulu film 'Yenna Tangadi' being released in 1971, to the 86th film, 'Ambar Caterers’.

The book was released earlier this month. The book has details about how the industry went into a silent mode in the mid period and how it again rose back like a phoenix with Vijaykumar Kodialbail's hit 'Oriyardori Asal' in 2011.

'Tulu Sinimavalokana’ has a mention of the elected representatives who either played a role in the films or been a part of production of Tulu films. MLAs Lokayya Shetty, K Abhayachandra Jain, Shakuntala T Shetty, Amarnath Shetty as actors and MLA Vasanth Bangera who produced 'Sangama Sakshi'and former minister B Nagaraj Shetty who produced ‘Kadala Mage’ have been mentioned in the 100-page book.
