Daijiworld Media Network-Mangaluru (RJP)

Mangaluru, May 20: During the heavy rains and lightning that took place in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts from Thursday late night to Friday evening, several cows have died and more than 300 electric poles have been damaged. Trees were seen uprooted in many parts of the district.

In Dakshina Kannada district, Mangaluru, Puttur, Sullia, Bantwal and Beltangady areas received good rains with lightning and thunder. Mulky Kinnigoli and Suratkal areas received more lightning with light rains and strong winds.

Winds caused uprooting of trees and as a result more than 300 electric poles were damaged which is unprecedented during pre-monsoon showers in Dakshina Kannada.

Several parts of the district were affected with electric supply till Friday evening.

Udupi district too witnessed the same situation like in Dakshina Kannada. All parts of the district received moderate to heavy rains. Lightning claimed 3 cows in Kukkuje near Hebri, 3 cows in Amasebail, 3 cows in Thekkatte near Kundapur and a calf at Karkala. Several houses were reportedly damaged due to rains. Losses are yet to be ascertained.

Cloudy weather continues in all parts of the district.

Cow life is valuable than human ... Finally a Bhakts person showing some courage and questioning the terrorist gang of pseudo-nationalistic government. Spineless indians are silent in the face of Taliban’s of India and will pay dearly in years to come.
This is the only religion need to be vanished from earth so that all the sufferings of human kind will be over.

@kas Mangalore - good that you remember cow sanctuary project. I hope Karnataka government will allocate some thousand acre land for that cause.
People should not make fun about lighting. If lighting hits one km away then you are under potential danger if you type in laptop connecting AC current. I experienced such an impact in 2009. I survived the impact due to gods grace. For one second I could not remove my right hand from laptop and I forcefully taken away. Hand was paralysed for 30 seconds and became normal after lot of exercising. I thought some amount of current passed through my body. Problem was that laptop had metallic surface.

Do the cows have insurance? If not why? Please make necessary arrangements all the cows must have a name tag, identity number, Adhar card, right to vote, citizenship, and also life & Health insurance. They are like us especially like BJP and RSS workers like animals.

@jossey - not only bhakths but also minority communities like Jain Christians Muslim farmers too have cows at some place. What is your advice to them? More over Christian farmers do much better work in farming than any other communities.
