Bantwal: Tree falls on moving auto - two injured

Bantwal, Jan 21: In an incident which happened on Friday January 20 near Adyanadka downtown near Vittal in the taluk, a tree got uprooted on a moving auto rickshaw. In this accident, the auto driver and a passenger were injured.

Driver of the auto rickshaw, identified as Eshwar (35) from Moodambail Kollapadavu near Adyanadka and passenger, Ramu (62), a local, were injured. The auto rickshaw was moving towards Adyanadka when a tree of which trunk had become brittle over a period of time suddenly fell across the road. Both the persons inside the auto rickshaw got stuck inside the mangled three-wheeler. Some locals brought them out and admitted them into the government hospital at Puttur thorugh 108 ambulance service.

Forest officials later got there and cleared the road.
