Mangaluru, Sep 6: Lavi D’Souza, a 48-year-old, who should have led a happy family, is passing her days, struggling for her life. She performs her daily chores with much difficulty and most of the time, seeks help from others.

Lavi, originally hails from Kodikal. She has been struggling from the past few months, as she battling cancer.

She was ill for a long time and was taken to hospital. After a detailed examination, the doctor confirmed that she is suffering from cervical cancer. She has already undergone a surgery and has also received chemo radiation therapy and also vaginal brachytherapy. Now she is scheduled to undergo chemotherapy and immunotherapy once in every three weeks.

However, this treatment will cost around Rs 35 lac for the next one year. In order to bear these expenses, she had already taken a loan for her first year’s treatment. But it is difficult to arrange the huge amount required for her further medication. Her economic condition is also poor and her monthly expenses itself would cost her a huge burden, as she has to undergo chemotherapy and immunotherapy once in every three weeks.

Her family is seeking financial assistance from the donors who are willing to contribute for her treatment and help her lead a better and normal life. Now all she needs is financial help from the donors and also prayers to provide her more strength to bear the disease.
