Mangaluru: Thank you readers - Rs 17 lac pours in for Roshan in just two weeks

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Aug 26: The valued readers of daijiworld have once again proved that humanity does indeed exist in the world. Time and again, our readers have risen to the occasion whenever a less fortunate member of the society has been in need of a helping hand. And once again, dear readers, you have created a miracle with your large-heartedness.

Daijiworld had on August 12 published an appeal requesting readers to help young Roshan D'Souza, whose life had been shattered due to an accident. The readers responded immediately, and in a matter of just two weeks, a whopping Rs 17 lac (approximately) was deposited in Roshan's account.

Son of John D'Souza and Leena D'Souza, hailing from Kokkada village in Dharmasthala, Roshan D'Souza (26) met with a bike accident on August 27, 2013 near Nelliyadi and was admitted to Father Muller Medical College Hospital where he got operated. The impact of the accident was such that Roshan sustained injuries on his spinal cord resulting in weakening of B/L upper and lower limbs. With this major injury, Roshan became paralysed and bedridden. Prior to the accident, Roshan was working in a bakery in Kuwait.

Speaking to daijiworld, Roshan conveyed his gratitude to all the readers who responded positively to the appeal, saying their generosity and prayers would go a long way in helping him get the required treatment.

Roshan and his parents also expressed their gratitude to Valerian Crasta who guided the family and Stany Alvares who took the initiative in bringing the matter to daijiworld's attention.

Roshan D'Souza's mother Leena said that the support extended by Daijiworld readers was much-needed and would help her son in a big way.

We at Daijiworld thank each and every reader who contributed so generously to the cause and prayed for Roshan, and gave him a second lease of life. Let us help each other and make this world a better place.

I pray for the well being of Mr. Roshan and express my heartfelt thanks gratitudes to the donors. This is the need of the hour now and not moral policegiri by thrashing/insulting/killing of innocents. We can lead peaceful life if we respect and take care of each other. May God bless us with right way of thinking and let us forget enmity between us and lead successful peaceful life. I congratulate Daijiworld for their good work. May God bless them too.

I am glad for the support Roshan and his family received. We all look after our children and once they grow up, we leave them to tend for themselves. Imagine a mother to be doing everything from hygiene to feeding a grown up son ?

Hats off to this lady and I pray that she is loaded with a lot of energy to keep doing this service tirelessly which we don't know how long.
