Bengaluru, Aug 15: Karnataka on Monday, August 15, reported 1,206 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 10,475. Bengaluru urban's single-day tally is 870.
The death toll in the state has risen to 40,147.
The state recorded 1,653 discharges from hospitals on Monday, taking the total discharges to 39,81,825.
So far, Karnataka has seen 40,32,489 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 9.62%. As many as 11,73,76,758 people have received vaccination so far.
