Mangaluru: Hit-and-run accident at Jeppinamogaru – One killed, another injured

Mangaluru Aug 12: An unidentified vehicle hit and killed a civic worker and injured another at NH66 Jeppinamogaru highway on Friday August 12.

The deceased is identified as Vicky Khan (23) from Bihar. Gopal Poojary was injured.

The civic workers were cutting grass on the national highway at around 8 am when an unidentified vehicle coming from Thokkottu to Mangaluru hit the duo. Police suspect that a pick up vehicle is involved in the hit-and-run incident.

Nagori traffic police have filed a case.

    After the highways became 4 lane instead of coming down the incidences of accidents are on the rise I dont know why? In rainy season there is a real risk of skidding and we must all drive very slow Please take care

    Hit and run culprits must be treated in the same manner as rapists and acid throwers.... They have no remorse or humanity,,,, When we do not care for life around we have no right to lead a free life....
