Mangaluru: Har Ghar Tiranga – ‘Where will people without house hoist flag?’ - Khader

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Aug 9: “Har Ghar Tiranga campaign has been decided to be held on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India’s independence. But a clear guideline should be give on this. There are many issues in the flags that have arrived now. In addition, the flag is being sold at various rates. First proper implementation needs to be done before announcement and propaganda. Some people do not have houses at all. Where they will hoist the flag? So those who do not house should not celebrate this campaign?” questioned deputy leader of opposition in assembly and MLA U T Khader.

Addressing media, he further said, “Amendment is made to the Indian national flag. Instead of Khadi, it is decided to use polyester cloth. This move of the union government is an insult to the freedom movement. The national flag is not a mere cloth. Khadi is the mother root of this country. It is not right to import polyester from overseas and stock.

“The wheel that is used to weave Khadi is not just a symbol. That is the symbol of throwing away anarchy. In this country whichever government ruled, it used to encourage Khadi production. Khadi contains the symbol of sacrifice of the people who fought for the freedom of this country. We speak of swadeshi in our words but do Videshi when implementing. Permission is given to import polyester from China. This is a huge profit to China, wholesale and garment business. This decision which lacks clarity is an insult to the whole country. Central government should relook into this matter and give importance to Khadi,” he said.

We need to respect our flag which means it should be hoisted on any particular day to show our solidarity with oneness of nation. Each member of house getting flag .... It is not a waste paper and place it anywhere. Whosoever in the respective Chair has to give a thought to it and then guide the citizens of this country to come together and sing the rashtra Geeth on the independence day or rajyotsava day with respect of salutes.

There should be limits to nonsense. Who is he trying to blame? Remember Garibi Hataao slogan for 6 decades. What happened? Just the other day a poor kid lost her life slipping on a makeshift wooden bridge into the rivulet on her way back from school in Uppunda ! Can you imagine this after 75 years of Independence !! Who is to blame?? I hang my head in remorse and shame. What about you leaders??

The question is where are the bhakts going to put up these flags? Do they have flag poles at their houses? The cheap Rs.22 flags being sold by the BJP have no cords/ lanyards to attach them to flagpoles anyway. People will put up the national flags without following any guidelines/ any which way. Many of them might turn out to be the wrong way up as well. The #HarGharTiranga exercise will lead to massive disrespect to the majesty of the Indian flag as envisaged by our forefathers.

We already have enough patriotism, also highest respect for the national flag. There is no doubt about these facts. At the end what is ultimate result or benefit of “har ghar tiranga”? Does it add any value? Does it solve our poverty, uncontrolled price rise, inflation and unemployment?

Khader Bhai, hopefully, those who do not have houses, will be able to hoist the flag during Republic day, 2023, since our honourable PM has promised houses for all citizens by 2022. Khadi contains the sacrifice, but those who did not sacrifice for independence , what it matters ? Khadi was promoted by Mahatma Gandhi as a swadeshi movement. but for those who praise him during election, but inwardly hate him, what difference it makes, Khadi or Polyester ?

Mr. Khader with due respect - why are there still people without houses in Karnataka when majority of time post independence your party was in power in the state ? moreover, freedom fighters during movement gave away their own house to hold the flag. To be patriot house is not a criteria.

Mr. Shetty.... Khaderbai's genuine questions seems to be burning you? Why? What happened to the PM promise that every citizen will have a solidly built house (not four walls), with water, eletricity and LED bulbs by Aug 15, 2022? Who made promises to gain power and never fulfilled even a single promise to date but sent the country down the drain and you still talk about other parties who governed the country? You need to study history to know how well Congress governed the country since independence and put India on international map. Sadly, in the last 7 years, the map has been erased and the borders have shrunk and no one seems to even bother about it? Today fake Hinduism is ruling the country and destroying it effectively. Yes, there was corruption in Congress as well but not at the level that we see today. Open your eyes. It is blind like you who are giving support to this blatant destruction.

Kujuma this is heights of opposing someone. No matter which govt comes will poverty be eradicated on day 1. While its on any govt to provide opportunities but again its an onus on the people as well to grow out of surving on freebies. The initiative of hoisting flag is not to divide people but to bring them together but you wont be able to see that as this is not your motive here.
