Minister Ashwath announces personal help of Rs 10 lac to Praveen’s family

Bengaluru, Jul 28: Higher Education Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan has announced a ‘personal help’ of Rs 10 lac to the family of murdered BJP leader from Sullia Praveeen Kumar Nettaru.

“This is my personal help,’’ the minister said speaking to media persons in Bengaluru on Thursday, and added: “I would not like to term it help. This is my duty. We cannot put monetary value to the death of a committed party worker.’’

Dr Narayan said he will ensure that the cheque for Rs 10 lac as his personal humanitarian help reaches the bereaved family.

“The State Government will nab the culprits who murdered Praveen. We will track and take stringent action against the culprits,’’ he said pointing out that he shares the anger and anguish of party workers over the dastardly murder of a young leader.

Dr Narayan has rendered personal help to the family of Shivamogga Bajrang Dal activist Harsha, who too was murdered by anti-social elements.

    Hypocrisy at its best....???? Young life is lost and family is pushed into sorrow, suffering and pain. Offer now money and get absolved from all sins and everything is fine. But at the same there are so many schools with leaking roofs in villages but no money to repair....great going. This is called as good governance model with double engine growth for sabke saath sabka Vikas.

    From where is he going to fund this 10L? Tax payers money cannot be distributed to politicians just because he got killed.. When one gets into politics he knows the risk involved in the job. There is no ne to waste tax payers money on this kind of cause.

    Shame on people who is running the government. Just ignore these people and the family shouldn’t meet any politician. Instead all the workers accumulate/contribute money and support the family with huge amount. Show these politicians we can survive without them but they can’t.

    They pay in crores (100-200 crores) while buying MLAs and for party workers who got killed, they will pay 5-10 Lakhs and say its personal help. Why cant they use that money kept for buying MLA when their Karyakartha / party worker got killed ?

    That makes sense and genuine help unlike CM is promising 1 Cr. from State Treasury which belongs to the Public and must be utilized for the benefit of common man. A way of robbing for non related issue. God bless you sir. One thing you must bear in mind that compensating will not solve the problem due to sectarian ill feelings and provocative attitude of some rightwing organization. Must try to stop such scrupulous, irrational cheap mentality and bring peace and love among all communities.

    Rudy sir, tell me rs. 10 lac is his hard work money to say personal? Politicians sowed vengeance/hatred and revengful behavior among the citizens for their gain which results in killing each other. If same thing continues, who are these politicians to contribute from our treasury? From their personal account? Anything ....whatever they think ...they implement and they are right. Instead, give them job to one of the family members for survival. For creating hatredness, public should pay ?
